The Telescope initiative has an important task: to make sure the plane from Houston with its precious cargo lands in a safe location. Failure to complete this mission could doom the prime initiative to save the Metachromes. But when the team arrives at Burbank Airport, the runway is littered with abandoned cars, and all the computers in air traffic control have been destroyed. And that’s just the start of the diabolical plan from Big Jim, the Metas’ new leader, to crush Project Z. Now, with a short amount of time, the team must cobble together a plan to clear the runway and figure out a way to help land the plane before Big Jim strikes again.

Meanwhile, watching in the shadows are a handful of Creepers. Feared by the Metas and Project Z, the Creepers were once Metas. But something strange happened to them: they lost their voices; they can’t fly anymore; they can’t be in the daylight; they wear bandages to protect their skin. And they like motorcycles. Project Z doesn’t know what spawned them—only that they are extremely dangerous.

Or so they think.
