Encore: A Love Story of Hypnotic Abduction
Listing Details
An in-law-averse bartender finds a heroic purpose for her skill at hallucinating while listening to neo-psych rock during her sessions alone in complete darkness in Addie's Float, which is an isolation tank that brings comfort to the Indiana town. When the comfort turns to scandal, the mysteries and threats tear down a young surveyor named Austin, who sees three strangely narrow men turning up in the oddest places. The small town is falling apart due to local corruption. Can indie music save it? Beware that it could trigger people who are sensitive about questionable touch from anonymous strangers: the woman floating in the tank suddenly realizes someone is in there with her, petting her hair. When the man runs away naked into the night, Flair risks covering for him. Steamy sexy with some "language." The sexuality is loving and mystical yet the beginning contact is edgy. Dual 3rd Person POV set up like a Romantic Suspense, though it's also Psychological Suspense -- rather than the usual Navy SEAL or bodyguard who strongly protects the woman, this male lead is worried about losing his mind. The main characters are 24 and 25 and they're interested in finishing college and internship. I hope it interests New Adults but it's more complex than most and delves into ideas like Carl Jung's collective unconscious/telepathy.
